Instagram: Do influencer affect the follower in a positive way or a negative way?

My project is about Instagram: Do influencer affect the follower in a positive way or a negative way? The reason why I chose this topic is that I think in this internet society, the internet affects our life and habits. Instagram is part of the internet. Instagram allows every user to share their life and good things with their friends and followers in the form of pictures and videos. Not only individuals also some brands create their accounts through Instagram to do some brand promotion and update their new product. Instagram makes our life more interesting and convenient. All information spread out at breakneck speed. In the process of information dissemination, some people uploaded their lives to Instagram and gradually gained a lot of followers. They also became known as web influencers. Their every move will affect their follower. Some people are excessively flaunting their wealth, leading to the psychology of flaunting wealth comparison among some young followers. There is also some web influencer that shares food, travel, and life. Made their followers have full of confidence and passion for life. In my essay, I will be more specific about whether influencer affects the follower in a positive way or a negative way.

  1. Hi Heting, i would like to chime in on your topic. I think majority of influencers affect their followers. There is a reason people follow some people. And if they see them do something, they are likely to follow because they liked them enough to follow them. Whether it being negative or positive solely depends on what the influencer posts.

  2. Hi Heting and Zakar! I would also like to add on this topic, i think it is pretty interesting. I both agree in your opinion, and i believe that often times people idolize these people to the point they lose interest on themselves, they lose track of their own identity and follow the trends, however there are some that really gives us motivation to be more of ourselves. I guess you can say that it is up to the people who they listen too and follow, but i sure do believe that there are more people lost in this social media than the ones who found their own.

After this semester study and research, I know the diversity of new media. Let me suggest a new media I would like to have a virtual world application on my phone. The app works with Google maps to allow people to socialize in a virtual world when they don't want to go out or when they facing a situation like now. Every street and every store will including in this fake world , in this virtual world where you can really walk down the street with your friends, or go shopping; Everything consumed in the virtual world will shipping to home. This can greatly meet the shopping needs of many people, can also experience the feeling of on-site shopping, people won't be bored because can't go out.

Creativity and New Media

As I mentioned in the beginning of this class, I like traveling to different places. When I want to make an imaginative and creative video, the first idea I have is to make a clip of my traveling video. Therefore, I put together video of my 2019 trip to Montreal, Cancun, and Niagara Falls. I put three videos together so when you watch it , you can watch three videos in the same window at the same time. I used VideoCollege this application on my phone to make this video. Blog VS Wiki

Blogs are primarily for personal or individual use. Blogs provide a platform for one user. Users can use blogs to spread their ideas, share their lives and write articles. All internal use in a blog is based on the ideas of the author alone. A personal presentation platform where one person has permission to write articles, change text, and upload photos and videos. Anything the author thinks is interesting can be demonstrated through blogs, which are also limited the idea of the content. Wiki is different it provides a platform for a group of users. Every user on a wiki is a partner. They can write their own parts, modify others' parts, upload photos and update data. This is not the work of an individual, it is the work of a team. Wiki is also a platform for information exchange. Everyone can get the information they need and have the right to change or update the wrong information.             In today's I...
